Our New Mobile Crisis Response Team is Now Hiring!

UCAN’s new Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) program provides urgent mental health services to individuals, both children and adults, who are experiencing a mental health crisis. MCR adds to our respected “continuum of care” by enhancing our ability to provide timely and effective crisis intervention and support to individuals and families. The program features an after-hours crisis line to provide around-the-clock support for individuals in need, and highlights our unwavering commitment to ensuring help is available at any time to serve the most vulnerable and those in urgent need of assistance.

As a Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center, UCAN is dedicated to serving underserved communities in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, including North Lawndale, East Garfield Park, West Garfield Park, Roseland, surrounding Far South communities, and the Village of Riverdale.

  • This position involves overseeing the crisis intervention services provided to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. The Supervisor will ensure that the team delivers high-quality, timely, and effective crisis intervention, assessment, and referral services to those in need.

  • This position involves leading a team of crisis responders during daytime hours, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, immediate crisis intervention services to individuals in need. The Team Lead will be responsible for coordinating response activities, providing support to team members, and maintaining compliance with program standards.

  • This role involves providing crisis intervention services during evening hours, including assessment, de-escalation, and stabilization of individuals experiencing mental health crises.
